Hello Fall!

It seems like the PNW arrives a bit earlier than most places I have lived. We all have a vision of summer that means fun and outdoor activities and believe this is the best time of the year.

Well, I think that it is the case only because we grew up having no school for a few months and that was glorious. I believe the fall is a great time with the weather usually very tolerable and we can start getting back to our routine. I for one work better when there is some sort of routine in my life. Maybe I am just getting older and less adaptable but routine for me usually means I get more done and feel more in control of my life.

As for getting back to some routine I guess we can say we need to get out of our new routine and start a new one. I like this Quote from Lou Barlow (an American alternative rock musician) “find some magic in your daily routine”. Routines do not need to consume your life, but they can make some of your day more productive and satisfying. So, I believe that we should all try to find a routine that helps us have a more enjoyable and positive day.

If you are looking to improve your tennis game or fitness, then getting on the court or in the gym on a regular basis can be a positive routine during these crazy times. What you have been doing the past few months is now the normal so it is up to us to make this normal as productive and positive as we can. Working on and improving a certain stroke or getting stronger can make you feel better and is not that what we all want. If we stay healthy and strong, we have a better chance of getting through this unusual time. So, go out and find some magic in your day!
