“Investment off the Court to improve your game on the Court”

Apr 05, 2022

We have all heard every tennis coach around start with the same two pieces of sage advice:

 --Watch the Ball

--Move your Feet.

It started with my dad and continues 50+ years later as Matt still gently reminds me every time we hit. Why? The former is point pretty obvious. The latter seems obvious too, but this takes more investment in your game. We can have the best stroke and strategy, but if we are not in position, the results are not our best. So how to improve at “moving your feet”?

That is where off the court investment is so important. In talking with Tyler over the last couple years, he has taught me so much about balance, muscle strength and stability as being the foundation for “the feet.” That is why I try and spend 30 minutes or so after hitting to work on my strength—to improve my game, and of course, to avoid injury. How can you see that improvement?

 Personal Training:

This is the single best way to improve your tennis fitness. Tyler and Kristen have extensive background and training that they can apply to you. They can identify your specific goals, evaluate your needs and prepare a specific plan for the evolution of your game. What really makes the difference is the implementation of that plan under their guidance. Both of them will track your form and progress to meet your tennis fitness goals effectively.
