Kindness

“To err on the side of kindness is seldom an error.” —Liz Armbruster

This month the club themes are, “Happy Anniversary to all of us” and “enjoy life.” Well, I just want to add that to have a happy anniversary and to enjoy life we need to recognize kindness so that we can enjoy our anniversary and our way of life. I like to believe that the main reason we have this club is so that we can all be better people by taking care of ourselves which in turn makes it easier for us to be kind and thoughtful throughout our daily lives.

Having an anniversary is a time you reflect on the years you have had with someone or some event. The club has been under Doug & Robin for 22 years. I have been here 21 years. Our mission is “to provide a top-notch team, facility, and community to help you flourish”. Throughout the years I do not think I could have stayed this long if I did not see that community blossom into something that has meant so much to Robin, Doug, and myself. I truly enjoy being part of a place where the goal is to make our daily life better. It is somewhere that even on my most trying days are easy because of the kindness I will eventually receive from a member or a fellow BTTC team member.

On “enjoying life,” well I get to play, teach, and talk tennis all day. Yes, sometimes it makes me tired and sore. But like a good workout can make you feel, it is a good sore. It is my goal that when you take time off to take a lesson it is my job to make you feel better about your day. This makes my day better too. It has been a blessing to have become friends and acquittances with so many members and clients. I feel the kindness I have received has made it easier to be kind back and certainly easier to enjoy life. Happy Anniversary to all of you and thank you for all the kindness through all these years.
